THE SHEFFIELD UNION OF GOLF CLUBS CELBRATES 100 YEARS
2010 The Sheffield Union of Golf Clubs is celebrating 100 years of
service to golf clubs within the areas of South Yorkshire, North
Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. Many activities have been organised to
take place throughout this centenary year both on and off the golf
course. One significant initiative to allow all member Golf Clubs (39)
to join with them in celebrating this memorable occasion was for the
Union to have had special commemorative plates made that will be
presented by the SUGC President Mr Eric Powell Esq to each and every
club for them to keep as a momento of this very special year.
below a photograph of the Presentation of
the Plate Ceremony which took place in the Phoenix Suite on Wednesday 12th May 2010.
